Immigration

Asylum. We represent clients who file affirmative applications for asylum with the Department of Homeland Security, Asylum Office. In addition, we assist asylum applicants whose applications have been referred to the Immigration Court for review or who are filing defensive asylum applications in removal proceedings.
Immigrant Visas/Legal Permanent Residency. Legal Permanent Residence (the green card) is often obtained through family relationship or employment. We offer representation for foreign nationals who wish to obtain legal permanent residency through a family sponsor or employment sponsor.

Family-based Immigration. We offer representation for marriage-based immigrant petitions and green card applications, K-3 spousal visas, K-1 fiancé visas, derivative naturalization, consular processing, waivers, and VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) petitions. We help clients secure employment authorization documents and travel documents while their applications and petitions are pending.

Employment-based Immigration. Our firm offers representation for immigrant visa applications involving Aliens of Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Professors and Researchers, Multinational Executives, and aliens eligible for National Interest Waivers.

We also represent clients with PERM-based applications, Immigrant Petitions for Alien Workers, and Employment-based Applications for Adjustment of Status (green card applications).

Nonimmigrant Visas. We offer representation for obtaining nonimmigrant visas, which are issued for a temporary stay and a specific purpose. We help clients obtain B-1/B-2 nonimmigrant visas, and we represent employers and employees seeking nonimmigrant visas for employment, including B-1, H-1B, O and TN.
Naturalization. We represent clients who are seeking to become United States citizens through the naturalization process.

Removal Proceedings. We represent clients in immigration courts to assist clients in deportation and removal proceedings, including cancellation of removal, withholding of removal, adjustments of status and asylum.
Federal Courts. We represent clients in Petitions for Review to the U.S. Court of Appeals. Additionally, we represent immigration clients in several matters before the U.S. District Court, including Administrative Procedure Act violations, Writs of Mandamus, Writs of Habeas Corpus, Declaratory Judgment Actions, Injunctive Relief and Naturalization Petitions.

Personal Injury

We represent injured people in claims involving excessive force, assault, wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice, transportation negligence (cars, trucks and motorcycles) and defamation.

Criminal Defense

We represents client in all criminal defense matters throughout Minnesota; including: Appeals, Assault, Disorderly conduct, Domestic assault, Drivers License Issues, Drug charges, DWI/ DUI, Expungements, False Name to Police Officer, Forfeitures, Fraud, Guns, Harassment/Restraining Orders/Orders for Protection Violations, Homicide/Manslaughter, Juvenile, Obstructing Legal Process, Post Conviction Relief, Sex Crimes, Traffic Violations, and Theft.

Civil Rights

We represent clients in Civil Rights Claims and Litigation, including Administrative, State Court and Federal Court actions. Civil Rights include rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights and the 13th and 14th Amendments to the Constitution, such as due process, equal treatment regarding enjoyment of life, liberty, property, and protection. Examples of civil rights are freedom of speech, press, assembly, the right to vote, freedom from involuntary servitude, and the right to equality in public places. Discrimination occurs when the civil rights of an individual are denied or interfered with because of their membership in a particular protected group or class, such as race, sex, religion, age, previous condition of servitude, physical limitation, national origin and in some instances, sexual preference.
