Kevin V. Heinz


Kevin V. Heinz is an Associate Attorney at Binsfeld & Engebretson. Kevin joined Binsfeld & Engebretson in August of 2011 as a Law Clerk. Kevin is a graduate of Hamline University School of Law. Kevin earned his Bachelor’s degree from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota with a double major in Spanish and Business Management. While there, Kevin studied abroad in Segovia, Spain where he enhanced his foreign language skills and enriched his Spanish studies. Kevin has lived and traveled extensively through Central and South America developing a true appreciation of life as a foreigner. Kevin used those skills while he lived in Santiago, Chile where he taught English as a Foreign Language.
Kevin is passionate about immigrant rights. As such, Kevin was a SEVIS approved DSO at a University in Southern California and helped students from all over the globe come to the United States to learn English before attaining their business degree. Most recently, he published an article about English Only laws and the detrimental effects that such laws have on immigrant rights and the communities where they are passed. He previously sat as the Managing Editor of the Hamline Journal of Public Law and Policy.
Kevin enjoys spending time with his family and, provided the right situation, can be coaxed into dancing.
